So there’s this online show called Arcade on ManiaTV. I was referred by the fine people at Coin-Op TV to go on the show to compete in their game show portion of the show called Gameology.
I was told I was going up against a girl, Tomb Raider cosplayer Vanessa Arrevillaga to be exact. I was nervous. Don’t let Girl Gamers fool you, they are super-hardcore! I mean, look at Pansy Warrior Princess! But then, once the show began, this turned out to be the first category…
CLASSIC ARCADE STANDUP GAMES? SERIOUSLY???
Well, I think we all know how this turned out.
P.S. Sorry I’m so serious on the show. I wanted to be goofy, but I thought that was the theme of the show based on the other episodes I saw. Hey, Black Nerd… WHY… SO… SERIOUS?
This is my recap of my 4 days at Comic-Con 2008… or at least as much as I can remember. It was a long week, and I spent a lot of it in a Scooby-Doo costume, so I’m a little light-headed.
I’ll tell you right now. I’m writing based on my own personal Comic-Con adventures. So if you’re looking for secret Hugh Jackman appearances, love or hate debates over Twilight, or first-look videos that will eventually be deleted from YouTube, you’re in the wrong place. Let’s do this!
Now I know I’ve made it! YouTube user “thatboytb” took it upon himself to make a video tribute to me, showing how he is also a black nerd. Plus, he worships me and thanks God that I am alive. Seriously. Check out the video. And check me out in it, in desktop background form.
Check out my 2nd appearance on this hilarious video game podcast, where I talk lovingly about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, give my “Black Nerd State of the Union,” and coin a brand new name for African-American racism, “Fried Chicken McWatermelon.”
Last week, I was a special guest on Coin-Op TV Live, a live Internet series on theStream.tv that’s all about video games. The episode has now been placed in the site archives, so you can watch me talk about video games, Buy Mii a Wii, other black nerds, and Smurfs anytime you want! It was a fun show to be on. So click my grinning mug below and check out the episode.

Nintendo. I love you. You know I do. I always have.
But you’re testing my love, Nintendo. You told me I’d have Smash Bros. Brawl by Christmas. I was a little disappointed that you lied to me, but you gave me Super Mario Galaxy in the meantime, and that was a nice gesture.
And then, you promised me… you promised me… you’d be here on February 10. I gave GameStop 5 dollars to reserve you and waited patiently, highly anticipating the date when the two of us would finally be together.
