Saturday’s not over yet! Here’s what happened for the rest of that day at the fabulous Comic-Con! And on top of all these adventures, I handed out pretty much all of my postcards! Yay!
SATURDAY (CONT’D)
In addition to meeting voice-over artists, Scooby-Doo creators, basketball players, and even some Black Nerd Comedy fans who recognized me (with and without the Scooby suit), I got to run into some other “Cewebrities” promoting at Comic-Con.
It’s time for more adventures of my Comic-Con experience. And the welcomed visit of an old friend… my Scooby-Doo costume.
FRIDAY
With a bag full of postcards and a bigger bag full of costume, I entered a bathroom stall as Black Nerd and exited as Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
I didn’t know how my Scooby-Doo costume would be accepted at Comic-Con.
Turns out it was a success.
Literally seconds after entering the floor, I was approached by Comic-Con patrons to take pictures. Which made it easy to get a Black Nerd Comedy postcard in their hand (the postcard also was of me in the costume).
I was quickly approached by a production assistant that “John” wants to interview me.
That John was John Salley of The Best Damn Sports Show Period.
UPDATE [07.14.08]: Changed the embed to Hulu, the company behind TV Guide Broadband.
TV Guide Broadband has released their latest video, “An American Intervention,” about a kid who just can’t realize he’ll never make it on American Idol. If you look real closely at the judge’s table, you may see a Black Nerd as “Sandy Jackson.” Plus, Dave Holmes from MTV is in it! You HAVE to watch it now!
If only American Idol could be as entertaining as this… a man dressed up as Denver the Last Dinosaur sings one of the most 80s cartoon theme songs ever as his audition for Australian Idol. I love Denver the Last Dinosaur. He’s my friend and a whole lot more.
I can’t believe someone didn’t think of this sooner… but kudos to those who did, because it is AWESOME! Here’s a great video of a British IT commercial that uses none other than the GREMLINS as computer viruses. I found it on Gremlins Online, so go there for the full info on the commercial.
Check out the actual commercial above and then the behind the scenes videos below.
How freaky is this? I’m watching back-to-back episodes LOST and really getting into it as always (oooh, a time-traveling Desmond and a Juliet flashback, luv it). During one of the commercial breaks, I thought it would be fun to jump online and see how my new video, The New Black Nerd, is doing on YouTube.
Get this. It had exactly 815 views.
Oh no. Am I really in Los Angeles, or am I on an island? Is the year 1996? Am I having an affair with Goodwin? DID I JUST SEE FISHER STEVENS?!?!?
I’m just joking, I know I’m not on LOST. But just to be on the safe side, I better not get any women pregnant for a while.
