As you know, E3 happened. And it rocked! I was there for a bit, saw some Nintendo goodness. Then I rapped about it. Also at E3 was Clicker.com. They’re this cool website that collects all of the movies, TV shows and original web series available online and becomes the central hub for all things online entertainment.
We ran into them (and by we, I mean myself, Beau Ryan of RadNerd.com and Robert Welkner of Coin-Op TV) and did some impromptu interviews about E3 and our upcoming projects. Rob discusses his E3 interviews. Beau talks about his upcoming horror series 8.13and what’s in store for RadNerd 2.0 (of which I may have a little involvement).
And I blab about myself a few times in the video and promise to strip if necessary. That’s how I roll. You can also see this video, plus more info, on the Clicker Blog.
I have been feeling down. So I use my friend Traycee to cheer me up. But she does not seem to know the difference between positive reinforcement, sarcasm and just making fun of me.
This morning, the Streamy Award nominations were announced. The Streamys are awards given to the best in web television programming. And two of my favorite live shows, Coin-Op TV Live and The RadNerd Show have been nominated for Best Live Production in a Web Series. Congratulations to both shows! That’s amazing!
One might ask why did these two awesome shows get nominated. Is it because they have great and engaging topics and guests? Is it because of the wonderful hosts like Rob Welkner, Hailey Bright, Beau Ryan or Leo Comacho? Nope. I know the true reason why they got nominated.
This past week, I was the special IM guest on The RadNerd Show, the live show on theStream starring Beau, Leo and special guest Michael Cornacchia. The hosts and the people in the chat room kept calling me “Flitz” who is the usual RadNerd IM guy (cause we’re both black, get it?) That then turned to Ollie Williams of Family Guy and that turned into this classic clip.
If you watch Coin-Op TV Live, then you know Rob Welkner’s lovely co-host, Hailey Bright. She recently celebrated 2 years of being on the show. So while she was at the Tokyo Game Show, Rob made a video at SC3 of Hailey’s fans and friends congratulating her.
You’ll see RadNerd, Brian of theStream.tv, peeps from Street Fighter IV-Down. And there’s a beautiful black nerd bookeding the video with the worst Marilyn Monroe/American Idol impression ever.
This past weekend, I attended the SC3 Arcade Party held by Southern California Classic Collectors. They’re this great group that collects classic arcade cabinets. Then they host events where they bring all their games together, put them on free play and we play them all night long! This time, I brought my Flip cam with me and captured some mini-videos to put up on my new TwitVid account!
