Update: I found this episode on YouTube, but it has been removed. So I deleted the embeds, but kept the post.
As Black History Month comes to a close, for some reason a classic episode of Family Matters popped into my head. In the episode, Laura Winslow starts a petition to try to get an African-American History class in her school. All goes well until someone spray paints the N word on Laura’s locker.
Wait, WHAT???
Yes, the show that gave us the Urkel Dance and Urkelbot, also gave us a compelling case of racial injustice. It’s a very special episode of Family Matters.
Shortly after my Lost and Heroes Hate Black People video for Comedy.com hit the viral scene, major blogs have been picking it up. One of the most major is Deadline Hollywood, a very popular entertainment blog. Nikki Finke was gracious enough to share some of her blogospace for my nerdy rant. And Nikki, Miss Finke if you nasty, I thank you for that.
This is a special video I made for Comedy.com (the awesome people who called me one of the 10 Best Unknown African-American Comics). I break down why Lost and Heroes hate black people. And I make a pretty compelling argument if I say so myself. Think about how many African-American characters have been killed in each show. It’s a conspiracy, I tells ya! A conspiracy. (It’s also a joke people, so don’t take this too seriously.)
Charles Barkley jokes on Saturday Night Live that there is “nothing sadder than a black nerd.” As a Black Nerd, I argue that there is something sadder… being Charles Barkley. NOTE: This is a COMEDIC RESPONSE to Charles Barkley’s SNL monologue. Don’t use this to start some strange BlackNerd/Barkley beef.
NOTE: This is all JOKES! So don’t attack me with You’re playing the race card, We’re all one society, We have a black president so why are you complaining, blah blah blah. I learned my lesson for the Axe incident.
