On the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech, an African-American accepts the candidacy for President for the first time ever.

Coincidence? I love the universe.

No matter what your party affiliation is, this is a truly proud moment for America.

Even John McCain said so in a video. But watch it now before it goes into the Disney Vault.

Congratulations, Barack Obama! Black Nerds 4 Life!

Emma Stone in The Rocker and The House Bunny

So I didn’t realize until I was on the FANCAST blog that Emma Stone starred in two movies in the same weekend.

For those that don’t recognize her, since I didn’t even recognize she was in both films, she was the girl that got headbutted by Jonah Hill in Superbad.

Way to go, Emma Stone! You’re in The Rocker. You’re in The House Bunny. You’re all over the place.

Kiely WilliamsMaybe Obama should have picked you instead of Joe Biden as his Vice Presidential nominee. Obama/Stone ‘08.

Oh, and the same goes to Kiely Williams, too.

She was in The House Bunny and she also starred in The Cheetah Girls: One World which premiered this weekend on The Disney Channel.

But writing that lets people know I was aware there was another Cheetah Girls movie.

If this doesn’t make you want to vote for Barack, nothing else wills. When I decide my next president, I always trust if the candidate has secretly sung the first verse and chorus of a Rick Astley classic. Enjoy this unique RickRoll from the Democratic Presidential Nominee.

I have never been on the Paris Hilton obsession wave. I was ready to join the Paris haters. Then I saw this video.

And I’m sorry. It’s made me turn over a new leaf. I love Paris now and everything she does is good.

And for those of you too busy reading Paris gossip in US Weekly that you’ve missed THE FREAKIN’ NEWS, she’s responding to John McCain, who recently used an ad comparing Obama’s “celebrity” to the likes of her and Britney Spears.

I’m sure some genius is already printing up some “Paris/Rhianna ‘08″ t-shirts right now.

*Leaves blog and runs to the t-shirt printing press*

Rich Kuras from Effinfunny.com was at Comic-Con interviewing costumed characters to see who they would vote for.

Guess what Black Nerd in a certain Scooby-Doo costume makes his way into the piece? Yes, it’s me, plus talks about “Rarack Rorama.” The video is also available on YouTube.

John Cho calls out Audience Person who says his Asian Friend looks like himAll good things must come to an end. Like Comic-Con 2008 and my Comic-Con 2008 recap.

Hope you enjoyed the ride. And be sure to read all of it. There will be a quiz. Seriously. There will be.

SUNDAY

That’s it! I’m going to see a panel that I want to see today if it kills me!

So I’m going into Ballroom 20 as soon as the Comic-Con doors open, and I’m staying there until the Harold and Kumar Panel happens!

Luckily, it worked. Take that, crowds!

Black Nerd Scooby & John SalleyIt’s time for more adventures of my Comic-Con experience. And the welcomed visit of an old friend… my Scooby-Doo costume.

FRIDAY

With a bag full of postcards and a bigger bag full of costume, I entered a bathroom stall as Black Nerd and exited as Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

I didn’t know how my Scooby-Doo costume would be accepted at Comic-Con.

Turns out it was a success.

Literally seconds after entering the floor, I was approached by Comic-Con patrons to take pictures. Which made it easy to get a Black Nerd Comedy postcard in their hand (the postcard also was of me in the costume).

I was quickly approached by a production assistant that “John” wants to interview me.

That John was John Salley of The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

Barack ObamaThere has been a very funny news report going around that Saturday Night Live quickly needs to find someone to portray Barack Obama in political parodies, since the ONLY black cast member on the show, Kenan Thompson, does not fit the role.

How long has Saturday Night Live been on the air?

At one time they had Tim Meadows AND Chris Rock. Another time, Kenan Thompson AND Finesse Mitchell.

Seriously, after being on for so many years, you’d think they would work up the nerve to have more than at most 2 black people on the show.

And Maya Rudolph doesn’t count.
