Thanks to Exploding Rabbit, a contributor to Newgrounds.com, you can! In the Flash game Super Mario Bros. Crossover, play the original Super Mario Bros. using any of these classic characters (or Mario, too, of course)

And it’s not just lame character skins over the same actions (cough, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, cough). Pick a character and use their unique abilities: Link’s boomerang, Samus ScrewAttacks, Mega Blasters, and that crazy Castlevania S&M whip… they’re all here! I’m in the middle of Spring Cleaning and I have to do the unthinkable. I have to say good-bye to my old 8-Bit NES.

I don’t want to. But I have no choice. I’m running out of room. The Smurfs are taking over. And it just doesn’t work anymore.

I hate to see it go. But it’s time. Thanks for the memories, 8-Bit Nintendo. We’ve had a lot of fun. We’ve played all kinds of games from Mario Bros. to Rescue Rangers. But we won’t talk about the M.C. Kids incident.
