I give a recap of my time at Vidcon 2010, the YouTube convention and one of three conventions I visited in the month of July 2010 (the others were Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-Con). I joke about my “C-Level Weblebrity” status and how it affected me at Vidcon. I watch Michael Buckley (WHAT THE BUCK?) pull a sword out of the mouth of one of the Rootberry guys. I eat Caterpillar Guacamole and Cricket Salsa, actual bug-filled food from Daniella Martin (Girl Meets Bug). I review my new wallet provided by Big Skinny Wallets, which somehow inspires me to rap about my big butt. Special shoutout to everyone I met at Vidcon 2010. I had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go next year.

One of my favorite moments of Anime Expo 2010 was so special, it had to be a clip of its own. I ran into a guy I call “Jigglypuff Elvis” and asked him if he would sing a song with me, impromptu, on camera. He suggested the Pokemon theme song. Our song signals a Wobbuffet and an audience applause. This is the kind of magic that happens at Anime Expo. As an added bonus, a beatbox with a guy playing the Super Mario Bros. theme song on a vuvuzela and give a shout-out to the YouTubers I met at AX 2010.

I went to Anime Expo 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. While I was there, I got to talk to a transforming cosplayer, attend a Nintendo / Super Smash Bros. cosplay gathering (where I interviewed Link & Dark Link, Bowser Jr. & Petey Piranha, Pit, Ice Climbers & a forgotten character, the lead from Mischief Makers 64) PLUS make a guest appearance on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) Revolution TV (Kakumei TV), where I played Super Mario complete with cape and Yoshi from Mario World.

So, want the Comic-Con experience but don’t have the money to get to San Diego? No worries. Los Angeles/Pasadena has you covered Memorial Day weekend with the inauguration of the Los Angeles Rock’n Comic Con 2010.

The weekend long convention (May 28-30) is put together by FAME LA and Animation Ink, in an effort to support the animation, arts, music and film industries. The weekend will be a celebration of comics, gaming, concerts, performances and special guests. One of the biggest highlights in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, done by the king of comics himself STAN LEE, CREATOR OF MARVEL COMICS, EXCELSIOR!!!

This is a cameo clip of me meeting @PDFlo (http://youtube.com/peedeeflo), the creator of the Kings of MySpace and Kings of YouTube music videos and the upcoming High School Sucks: The Musical, at Anime Expo 2009 in Los Angeles. He’s shocked that I’m Black. I’m shocked that he’s Mexican. Then we meet a kid that’s Mexican AND Black. It’s so ridiculous, it’s perfect. Big thanks to PDFlo for the shout-out.

Last month, two hilarious improv groups in Los Angeles, Temporary Insanity and So Funny It Squirts, teamed up to do a benefit show for a new piano for an improv theater. I had the pleasure to be in this improvised piece… a musical set in a small coffee shop.

And the best part is I get to sing about one of the coolest toys ever!
