So during my Black Nerd LIVE! show last week, I mentioned that I found an old Internet dating profile I put up a while back. For $#!+$ and giggles, LiveVideo user KRISTYLE2121 read the profile with a picture of me on the screen. It was hilarious.
She decided to take it one step further and make me a dating profile video to the tune of LL Cool J’s “I Need Love.” How could you NOT want to date me after seeing this? Thanks KRISTYLE2121. And remember everyone to tune into Black Nerd LIVE! to see all of these ridiculous antics.
This is an e-mail I wrote to my LiveVideo fans recently after an unfortunate incident that occurred to me. I thought I would post it on my blog to not only thank them, but also bring to light a growing but often not discussed issue online, and that’s the rampant use of hate speech and racism on these new media type sites that really need to be controlled. Thanks again to my Black Nerd Live/LiveVideo fans and subscribers.
I have a few fan tribute videos, but this one takes the cake. It’s from AluraStar, a LiveVideo member who constantly watched my Black Nerd Live broadcasts on the website. She wrote a song that, according to her, she channeled from John Lennon, called The Black Nerd And His Power. The song now has an accompanying animated music video.
I can’t really describe it. You just have to watch it. And thank you so much, AluraStar, for being such a Black Nerd fan.
I know, it’s been forever and a day since I’ve made many blog posts or videos. I can explain.
This past month, I moved. I’m now in my own digs (ladies…) that I now dub Black Nerd Headquarters. So once I get all settled, expect an onslaught of content from me… unless I finally get started watching my Punky Brewster DVD collection.
I’ve really been getting into the Live Show. If you don’t know about it, I do live broadcasts on LiveVideo.com. And this summer, I’m going to have a regular show schedule for you to tune into each week. Stay tuned for that. In the meantime, you can watch me with Pansy Warrior Princess every Sunday from 7-9pm PST [Watch the promotional video]
I had to watch the LOST finale. Oh man, Yunjin Kim is a great actress! And I should’ve known Locke was in the coffin.
Alright, enough of these lame excuses. Time for Black Nerd to work it out like Beyonce singing the soundtrack single for Austin Powers in Goldmember. Wow, what a long reference. Anywho, Black Nerd is back, baby.
LiveVideo has picked another one of my videos to be featured on their home page. This time, it’s Smash Bros Brawl Midnight Launch. I was trying to think why this one. All I could guess is with Cloverfield being released on DVD this past Tuesday and Mario Kart Wii coming out this coming Sunday, this video kinda touches both worlds.
And you should, too! Check out Pansy Warrior Princess, who makes awesome videos, video game reviews, and she does live shows on LiveVideo just like me! I’ve even been known to drop by her show every once in a while.
And on her website, you can get a cool photo like this.
My latest video, Client 9 and 3/4, has been performing quite well on the viral video websites after only being up for a couple of days. So much in fact that LiveVideo recently added it to its list of Featured Videos. Thanks to everyone enjoying my parody of news that don’t affect me in any way.
The Black Nerd is definitely feeling the viral video love. Just shortly after meeting with Revver and starting a live show on LiveVideo, now the juggernaut of video websites has partnered up with Black Nerd Comedy.
As of this week, I am officially part of the YouTube Partner Program. This is a special honor only for independent video creators chosen and approved by YouTube. Now hopefully you’ll see my nerdy mug plastered more all over the website.
This places me in the special high ranks of viral video greats like HappySlip, Tay Zonday, Lonelygirl15, LisaNova, Smosh, Kyle Sullivan, and even Ashley Tisdale! I feel so special to have VIP membership to this little club.
Thank you, YouTube, for appreciating my work and to the viral video community as a whole for supporting a Black Nerd.
You’ve seen postings about it throughout the site for the past week, but now I’m writing it in the blog to make it official. I have my own show on the Internet, BLACK NERD LIVE!
Recently, Revver teamed up with LiveVideo, and as a result, some Revver users were asked to join LiveVideo and start live shows. I was one of those people.
My first shows were last week (Mar 18, 20, and 23 respectively). And in each show, I bring up a topic, rant and rave, make people laugh, show off videos, and communicate with you through chat room or webcams of your own.
