So I went to this really cool party by ReelzChannel in Hollywood, and lo and behold, Sara Fletcher, the host of Movie Mob, was there! Even though we’re both on the show, we’ve never met face-to-face. Until tonight. We took this cool picture together.

Don’t you totally want to kiss our faces? She’s really cool, and extremely funny! It’s a pleasure to have her introduce my movie reviews every week.
I also met many behind-the-scenesters from Movie Mob and ReelzChannel. They all had wonderful things to say about me and my reviews. So keep voting me on the show! We wouldn’t want to disappoint them, right?

All good things must come to an end. Like Comic-Con 2008 and my Comic-Con 2008 recap.
Hope you enjoyed the ride. And be sure to read all of it. There will be a quiz. Seriously. There will be.
SUNDAY
That’s it! I’m going to see a panel that I want to see today if it kills me!
So I’m going into Ballroom 20 as soon as the Comic-Con doors open, and I’m staying there until the Harold and Kumar Panel happens!
Luckily, it worked. Take that, crowds!

Saturday’s not over yet! Here’s what happened for the rest of that day at the fabulous Comic-Con! And on top of all these adventures, I handed out pretty much all of my postcards! Yay!
SATURDAY (CONT’D)
In addition to meeting voice-over artists, Scooby-Doo creators, basketball players, and even some Black Nerd Comedy fans who recognized me (with and without the Scooby suit), I got to run into some other “Cewebrities” promoting at Comic-Con.
Hey, we all have to hustle to get seen.

More Comic-Con goodness comin’ at ya! As Samuel L. Jackson says in Jurassic Park, “Hold on to your butts!”
SATURDAY
Sometimes I can be very naive. It’s a cute quality. I like it. But sometimes it works against me.
For example, I actually believed I had a chance to get into the Heroes panel.
That maybe enough people were turned off by Season 2 that the line wouldn’t be, oh I don’t know, ALL THE WAY AROUND THE DAMN CONVENTION CENTER!
Oh well, to The Black Panel it is.

It’s time for more adventures of my Comic-Con experience. And the welcomed visit of an old friend… my Scooby-Doo costume.
FRIDAY
With a bag full of postcards and a bigger bag full of costume, I entered a bathroom stall as Black Nerd and exited as Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
I didn’t know how my Scooby-Doo costume would be accepted at Comic-Con.
Turns out it was a success.
Literally seconds after entering the floor, I was approached by Comic-Con patrons to take pictures. Which made it easy to get a Black Nerd Comedy postcard in their hand (the postcard also was of me in the costume).
I was quickly approached by a production assistant that “John” wants to interview me.
That John was John Salley of The Best Damn Sports Show Period.

This coming Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, I will be performing in the first-ever ComedySportz Standup Comedy Show. Our guest star is none other than the very talented Maria Bamford.
So I thought this would be a good opportunity to plug her (stop thinking dirty) so that you know of the awesome talent that she is.
She’s been on Comedy Central Presents, The Tonight Show, Conan, etc. She also has done a lot of cartoon voiceovers, and when you see her act, you’ll know why.
And I’ve crossed her paths a couple of times, so I can also tell you she is an incredibly sweet person.
She has a lot of goodies online, including standup samples and her very own show on SuperDeluxe.
Here’s some links to her stuff, as well as an entry I wrote in my old MySpace blog a while back about her. And come out and see the show on St. Patrick’s Day!

The thing that’s funny about Hollywood is that you can meet someone who’s a wonderful and strong working actor and not even know it. That’s what happened to me tonight.
I was performing at ComedySportz in Hollywood. It’s a show where two teams play improv games to compete for laughs and points. It’s a totally cool show and you should see it, it’s for all ages. Okay, plug over, back to the story.
One of the games was a guessing game that required me to leave the room. To prove we’re not cheating (cause no one believes in magic anymore), we take an audience member with us.
A young lady volunteered to go out of the room and we stand outside to make small talk.
She introduces herself. Her name is Vanessa.

I’ve talked about it. I’ve joked about it. In my classic MySpace blog, I talked about her here and here and here and here. I made it sound like a fantasy. But now the fantasy has become a reality. A dream has come true.

I, André Meadows, have finally come face-to-face… with Raven-Symoné!
