Today, Apple announced the iPad, a tablet for $499 (seriously?) that allows you to do everything your iPod and iPhone does… but with a bigger screen! I’m sorry, but in the days of cell phones, netbooks and Kindles, this just looks like another quirky piece of technology to make hipsters spend their money on something else besides checkerboard-designed hats, unnecessary scarfs and ironic Sesame Street t-shirts from Urban Outfitters.
And the name is really ticking women off. Jokes are already flying across the Internet about the name. And from this video, you’ll see that Apple apprently never watched MADtv. It’s one thing for someone to make a joke about you, it’s another thing to follow the joke… AFTER IT’S BEEN MADE.

I know Halloween is over, but I was introduced to this Onion News Network video last night and I just had to share. It’s so adorable, so wrong and so funny all at the same time, and vids like that don’t come too often. Nor do girly-boy vampires and effeminate “big ole bears”. Well, in actual bear costumes, that is. Enjoy this final Halloween moment, then get ready for all the Christmas shoving down your throat.
My apologies to Kanye, Beyonce and Taylor Swift, but THIS is one of the best music videos of all-time. I don’t know why, but every time I hear this song, I get into it. Maybe it’s because I’m a nerd and I like songs about education. Maybe it’s because it features a pop singer that doesn’t look like a Bratz doll. Or maybe it’s because I watch Adult Swim a lot, and this commercial plays during EVERY FRAKKIN’ COMMERCIAL BREAK THEY HAVE! Either way,I’m hooked. I can’t resist it’s catchy nature.
I see the creators of this commercial are trying to strike gold again with a Lilith Fair version, a Jonas Brothers version and a Skee-Lo version. But it will never top the original. If Education Connection were smart, they should make a version for the new comedy series Community! It would be easy; there’s even a video to learn the lyrics. I’d love to see Joel McHale or Chevy Chase getting connected. For free.
After the Super Mario Jump, enjoy a bunch of kids singing the song. This could be the first step to get America’s youth excited again about the education system. Remember, kids. Don’t Be a Fool: Stay in School.
I will now make it a habit to highlight LOL clips from The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien because I still support the man, even while somebody who SAID HE QUIT decides to COME BACK ON THE SAME NETWORK EARLIER and STEAL SOMEONE’S THUNDER!

It’s funny, it features one of my favorite comedy bits (a long stare into camera) and it re-confirms my theory that foot massages are the most awesome things in the world (next to Pop-O-Matic bubbles of course).

I was going to suggest a drinking game for this video, to drink every time you see a celebrity in it. But then I realized you’d die of alcohol poisoning by the time you got to the Lonelygirl15 scene.
Okay, I don’t know if this is a sign of being funny or going too far on the whole “Hey, let’s take the most whitest person in the world and have said person rap with T-Pain” phenomenon. But I can’t help but find Taylor Swift adorable in a white T and a grill. No wonder that Jonas had to let her go, she was probably pimp slapping him around non-stop.
The hilarious part is that this was an intro for the CMT Awards. Country Music Television has gone a long way since being bought by the same company that owns BET and MTV.
