I had to see Quarantine for Movie Mob this week. Eh. I would’ve rather this movie instead. The trailer is from The Soup on E!, one of the funniest freakin’ shows on television. IT’S MILEY!

James Rolfe, known by most as the Angry Video Game Nerd from Cinemassacre.com, does this absolutely wonderful and completely accurate review of Gremlins and Gremlins 2 The New Batch as a promotion for Spike TV’s upcoming Scream 2008 Awards.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there are all these little ways here and there to get Gremlins back into the mainstream?  And why on Earth and sequels would they want to do that? *sinister laugh*

Weird Al Yankovic is back at it again, this time with a parody of T.I.’s “Whatever You Like”. Given the economy, his thoughts of getting you whatever you like are slightly different. Enjoy!

A couple of years ago, I starred in an independent film, The Breakdance Kid.  You might not be able to recognize me.  Cause I call myself Katfish. And wear a giant afro.  Here’s the trailer for the film that I found recently on YouTube.

And if you’re interested in seeing the movie, you can rent it on Netflix or buy it in DVD or download form from various websites. Google it! That’s what Katfish say.

It’s a Black Nerd Star Sighting! Yesterday was the day the Earth stood still for me when I went into Casa Vega, a Mexican restaurant in Sherman Oaks, CA.

The place is known for hardly having lights on, but I scanned the darkly place and saw an excellent actor speed through his lunch.  I know it’s only October, but it feels like sweet November to see this actor, and I hope it starts a chain reaction to see more.

Can you guess who he is?  It’s…

A Religious Experience was a short I did in Austin, Texas a few years ago.  It was a 2005 finalist for the show, Project Greenlight. After my videotape copy of it was starting to wear out, I decided to search for Matt Pulliam, the director of the film, to try to get a new copy.

I did one better. I found the actual film on YouTube! So now you all can see it. I’m the preacher in it and I LOVED playing this part! God is good, people. And so is playoff season.

So I just saw this commercial on TV and I get the joke.

He uses Axe Dark Temptation. Dark is like chocolate. Now he’s chocolate. And lots of white women around really like chocolate. Cause they can’t resist… wait for it… “dark temptation.”

But “chocolate” by no means is code for “black.” Like Chocolate City. Or David Alan Grier’s new TV show, Chocolate News. And let’s not forget… CHOCOLATE RAAAAAIIIINNN!!!

HE’S BLACK NOW, PEOPLE! YOU CAN’T FOOL ME, AXE! CHOCOLATE = BLACK!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go watch a movie, Willy Wonka and the Black Factory.

Heroes Season 3

Heroes is back, baby! And it ain’t playin’ games this time, people! It’s kickin’ @$$ and takin’ names! After a… well, bumpy… Season 2 to say the least, slowness did not play a factor with this 2-part premiere.

Well, 3 part if you count the countdown party brought to you by Sprint, Universal Studios, Heroes on DVD and Blu-Ray, NBC.com, MySpace, Coca-Cola, eHarmony, Slim Jim, American Airlines, Slurm… ok, you get the hint. It was a big commercial.

And now, it’s time for the official Black Nerd play-by-play recap of this season premiere.
