This is an e-mail I wrote to my LiveVideo fans recently after an unfortunate incident that occurred to me. I thought I would post it on my blog to not only thank them, but also bring to light a growing but often not discussed issue online, and that’s the rampant use of hate speech and racism on these new media type sites that really need to be controlled. Thanks again to my Black Nerd Live/LiveVideo fans and subscribers.

Hello everyone. Please forgive me for the long e-mail, but I want to let you know how everything is going at the moment for me, since I have received some questions and e-mails regarding myself and my live show.

On Last Sunday’s live show, about an hour into the program, my LiveVideo account was unfortunately hacked. This was not like the spammers or fake name lookalikes we’ve seen in the past. This was a hacker that deliberately found a way into my account, took it over, kicked me off, and used my account to spread messages of hatred and racism.

The LiveVideo staff and I have been talking for the past several days to alleviate the damages. The hacker’s IP address has been found and permanently banned from the site, and I now have my LiveVideo account back in my hands. So now if you see BlackNerd in your room, it is me! Big thanks to LiveVideo for handling this matter, and also a special thanks to TemplarKnight, who personally used methods to find more info regarding the hacking.

As TemplarKnight implied, and I agree with, while it sucks that this happened, it’s kind of a good thing it happened to me specifically, since my strong presence on LiveVideo (ego-boost, ha ha!) made the hacking well-known and attended to quickly.

And with that, I want to once again thank each and every one of you, my true fans and friends. You all kept in contact with each other and with me to not only make sure my account was back in order, but that I myself was okay after being upset about the situation. You all went above and beyond the call of duty to contact LiveVideo, check on me, and flag this hacker. In other words, you made it aware that he messed with the wrong guy!

However, I want to encourage you all that if something like this ever happens again, please leave the room as soon as possible. I know the original feeling is to attack these people, yell at them, etc., but when it comes to sad people like this so starved for attention, that’s exactly what they want you to do. Don’t give them the benefit, they’re not worth your time.

Also, it has become apparent to me that this same hacker may have gotten into my Facebook or some other account of mine to find my phone number and call me. So it’s a good idea when you run into these hackers to avoid them so they don’t try to get any info from you.

*IF YOU WERE IN THE ROOM AT THE TIME OF THE HACKING, OR IF YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO MY ACCOUNT IN ANY WAY, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHANGING YOUR LIVEVIDEO PASSWORD AND ANY OTHER POSSIBLE PASSWORDS YOU MAY RELATE TO THE SITE (I.E. FACEBOOK, MYSPACE, FRIENDSTER, YOUTUBE, ETC.) JUST TO BE SAFE.

But again, for those of you who stood up to fight for me and support me, I can’t thank you enough for your loyalty and friendship.

I’ve decided to take a couple days off to recoup, which is why I wasn’t online yesterday and today. I will be back Thursday June 26 at 6:00pm pst, and we’ll go back to things as normal and let all of this pass.

It will take more than a lame hacker to get me to stop using LiveVideo to talk to you. A Black Nerd has to stand tall and fend off all those who hate or criticize. And with you all as my loyal fans, it makes the fight easier. I love you all and thank you.
