Last month, I went to the Revver Screening Series in Los Angeles and had the pleasure of running into fellow video creators Pansy Warrior Princess and Ask a Chola, who was the guest host of the recap video of the event. LiveVideo has picked another one of my videos to be featured on their home page. This time, it’s Smash Bros Brawl Midnight Launch. I was trying to think why this one. All I could guess is with Cloverfield being released on DVD this past Tuesday and Mario Kart Wii coming out this coming Sunday, this video kinda touches both worlds.
I’m in the middle of Spring Cleaning and I have to do the unthinkable. I have to say good-bye to my old 8-Bit NES.
I don’t want to. But I have no choice. I’m running out of room. The Smurfs are taking over. And it just doesn’t work anymore.
I hate to see it go. But it’s time. Thanks for the memories, 8-Bit Nintendo. We’ve had a lot of fun. We’ve played all kinds of games from Mario Bros. to Rescue Rangers. But we won’t talk about the M.C. Kids incident.
And now, rest well in Video Game Heaven. Say hi to the Dreamcast for me, will you?

Now I know I’ve made it! YouTube user “thatboytb” took it upon himself to make a video tribute to me, showing how he is also a black nerd. Plus, he worships me and thanks God that I am alive. Seriously. Check out the video. And check me out in it, in desktop background form.
Soul and Son, the Internet/mobile comedy series I wrote and star in is now making its way to YouTube. And YouTube has given the series an honor by making the first episode, “Meet Soul and Son”, today’s Spotlight video for Comedy.

You know I like to have fun and joke around, but I got an email recently through YouTube that I found interesting. Usually, I tend to ignore mail criticizing me because it usually comes from a 15-year-old kid who just finds it fun to call everyone “gay” on the Internet. But this one was written in an interesting way that I had to respond. Here is the message:
Man I’m black and you shouldn’t go around insulting are race like you are doing. I’m not telling you to act like a thug and I’m not telling you to quit being a nerd just quit giving the white people excuses to laugh at us. if you are going to be a nerd than be on and be proud of it just don’t be a “black nerd” because it makes it seem like all blacks are not smart and we are and it makes us seem ignorant which most whites already think we are.
While I felt this person completely misunderstood where I was coming from in my black nerdiness, I couldn’t help but to walk in his shoes a little bit and see why he may have felt this way. Here’s my response…

I call foul. Papa Smurf is old enough. He’s 542 years old for goodness sake. And he’s an American (Now we know where Smurf Village is. It’s in Wisconsin. And all this time, I’ve been searching South Dakota). This was Papa’s beginning to his path of becoming the first blue president in 2016, and now his chances are ruined.
