Since I’ve obviously have been so Wii-happy, I have not thought twice about getting a Playstation 3, and in doing so, had created an unnecessary sort of disdain for the system.

I complained it had lack of titles. I complained all the different re-releases of the system were confusing. I complained that it’s a sting operation to make you like Blu-Ray over HD-DVD.

And then, a Christmas miracle occurred. I got one as a gift.

And you know, there’s something about getting a video game system for free that completely changes your thoughts towards it.

It’s true. I used to make criticsms all the time about Nintendo 64 and GameCube, but I can’t think of one bad thing I’ve ever said about the NES or Super NES.

Then I realized, the NES and Super NES: given as Christmas presents. N64 and GameCube: Bought myself. If this were a science project, I think I just solved my hypothesis (Now I gotta go to Michael’s and get one of those three-fold cardboard display boards).

Now I got nothing but love for the PS3… not Nintendo Wii love mind you, but definitely not Panasonic 3D0 hate.

And best of all, it gets me one step closer to a Wii/PS3/XBox360 three-way video game orgy (I really have to stop using sexual metaphors when referring to my video games, I don’t want people to get the wrong idea about me).

I got Rock Band, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Rachet & Clank, and I recently added Call of Duty 4 to the mix. If anyone has any suggestions for good PS3 games, I’d love to hear them (as long as the words “Ninjabread Man” aren’t mentioned).

Hopefully, my two video game systems will get along. On top of game boasting and graphics envy, the PS3 is black and the Wii is white, so it could get racial up in this piece.
